The SRAM Threaded Chainring Removal Tool is designed for the proper removal of threaded chainrings from compatible SRAM power meters.

Unlike the earlier 1x-only removal tool, this version supports both 1x and 2x SRAM thread-mount power-meter systems. It provides the correct engagement required to break the chainring free while helping prevent damage to the power meter and threaded chainring interface.

Important Compatibility Note

This tool is designed specifically for SRAM power meters with thread-mount chainrings. It is compatible with both 1x and 2x systems, including XX D1, XX SL D1, RED XPLR E1, and Force E1 thread-mount power meters.

It is not a universal chainring tool and is not intended for conventional direct-mount, spider-mounted, or chainring-bolt systems.

The driveside crank must be removed from the bicycle before removing the threaded chainring. Follow the official SRAM service procedure to avoid damaging the frame, crankset, power meter, or chainring.
